Away from busy Hosur Road and just off Brigade Road, a little unpretentious, old-school bakery called Munchies greets you with delicious aromas of cakes, pasties, tarts, patties, pizzas etc., wafting through the air. Given our modest bearings, you could almost miss the place . . . . . but just trust your nose and it will lead you right to our doorstep!

We offer all kinds of bakery products ranging from burgers to pizzas and pastries to croissants, to name a few. Started in 2003, our name has travelled far and wide to all corners of Bengaluru and beyond.

We specialize in catering to kids' birthday parties. Our menu is not confined to just burgers and hot dogs. It extends to cakes too - especially custom-made cakes to suit the fancies of the little chief guest in question!

Besides kids' birthday parties, we are also well known for supplying all kinds of snacks to several well-known IT companies in the city.

In addition to the regular items on our menu, we specialize in undertaking customized orders to suit our valued customers’ requirements. We are flexible with customizing our items based on both size and taste.

The woman behind the success of Munchies is Susie Augustine, who decided to convert a hobby and a latent talent into a promising business venture. Says Susie: "Cooking was always a passion with me, especially baking. From a young age I've tried my hand at various kinds of dishes."

Susie's tryst with butter and eggs and flour and fruit began when she was all of eight years! She was the privileged one who got to stir the mix for the family Christmas cake that her dad would bake every year. "Dad trusted no one but me with the rich mix of nuts and fruit," she chortles.

Susie started this venture as she always loved cooking. Though she did not undergo any formal training, her learning has come more from pouring over recipe books and finally arriving at the right one by trial and error method.

At nineteen, Susie began taking orders for cakes from close friends and relatives. "In those days, a girl who wanted to join a hotel management course was thought to be too bold for her own good" says Suzie with a smile, but years later, her dream came true with her very own bakery - Munchies! Her pastries, patties, stuffed buns, tarts and sandwiches find their way into almost every cocktail party, corporate gathering, kiddie birthday bash and college fest in town, while her wedding cakes have graced many a wedding in and beyond Bengaluru.

Susie takes pride in the personal touch that goes into her products. “I believe in personally making the filling that goes into the burgers and patties. This way consistency is maintained” says Suzie.
